My journey in learning and development is not linear but because of this I bring even more skills and experience to projects that ordinary instructional designers lack.

Besides my formal Masters in Instructional Design and Technology I also have a BA in education, graphic design experience, corporate training, vendor relations, entrepreneurship (co-founded a social commerce platform), and now ten years of designing a variety of learning experiences.

From mobile microlearning modules, instructor led training and onboarding, to complex hybrid professional development curricula I have built a bit of everything. Depending upon the project I have used a range of educational technology tools such as Storyline 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, TechSmith, Google and Microsoft.

I understand project nuance, organization needs and the importance of creating a learner-centric experience that also ties into ROI or employee performance metrics. Depending upon the learning solution I can often guarantee some combination of faster time-to-competency, fostering a learning culture, reducing turnover, increasing employee happiness, reducing onboarding and professional development ambiguity, or optimizing the learning content ecosystem (or lack there off).

Looking towards the future, my passion for instructional design, technology and continual professional growth has led me to completing a course in AI for Instructional Design as well as over 30 hours of AI professional development sessions from DevLearn 2025. This early adoption allows me to leverage new tools to increase my productivity and deliver even better learning solutions often in less time.
